Product Description
Assassin's Creed redefines the action genre. Assassin's Creed merges technology, game design, theme, and emotions into a world where you instigate chaos and become a vulnerable, yet powerful, agent of change. The setting is 1191 A.D. The Third Crusade is tearing the Holy Land apart. You, Altair, intend to stop the hostilities by suppressing both sides of the conflict. You are an Assassin, a warrior shrouded in secrecy and feared for your ruthlessness. Your actions can throw your immediate environment into chaos, and your existence will shape events during this pivotal moment in history. Next-gen gameplay - The proprietary engine developed from the ground up for Xbox 360 allows organic gmaes design featuring open gameplay, intuitive control scheme, realistic interaction with environment, and a fluid, yet sharp, combat mechanic

Customer Reviews

Good but not Great....!
First, the good stuff, great graphics (when my character first rounded the curve overlooking old Jerusalem, I felt butterflies!!! Superbly done guys.) Fight scenes (graphics and action) are also enjoyable- which is the meat and potatoes of what this game is all about. And the storyline is intriguing enough to keep me interested- probably why I originally bought the "director's cut" version. Also, I have Windows Vista Ultimate for my operating system, and it doesn't have any problem with the gmaes.

Now as far as problems with the gmaes , I haven't played it long enough to find all the bugs, but I have some difficulty interpreting the keyboard keys to the console controller buttons (which is an annoyance since the gmaes prompts me to use console controller buttons-I need to read the manual frequently...) Also, I thought that I had saved the game at a certain spot only to find upon reload that I had to start the quest I had almost completed from the beginning. I am learning about the save spots and the locations still as well. I have to be fair and say I haven't fully read the manual, and some of the difficulties I am having may be a result of this. But I do recommend that you get a console controller rather than try to use the keyboard commands- this is really a detractor from the immersion factor....JB

OK...!

A few reviewers summed up this gmaes very well. I just wanted to nod my head in agreement...

Excellent Graphics, Nice open ended gameplay, Good voice acting. Play control is not too bad (takes a while to get used to).

Boring, repetitive missions and slow story line. Game gets old after a few hours.

Garbage!
Save your money. I have tried to find something positive to say about this game but I can't. This has to be one of the worst games I have played in years (and I play them all). It is unimaginative, repetitive, quickly becomes boring and frustrating after you (and I am not exaggerating) do the same missions 30 times, climb the same towers 50+ times, see the same graphic cutaway 50+ times, save the same person in the crowd 30+ times, etc. Also you are not completely "playing" the game, every 15 minutes or so it cuts away to a poorly written hack story line that you are forced to sit through. The sad part is this had the potential to be something great open world design and fairly good graphics. To be perfectly honest I am bitter and angry that I spent 50 bucks on this garbage of a gmaes. Ubisoft should be embarrassed of this release and fire the designers.
