Upcoming PS3 Firmware (v2.60) Update
Eric Lempel // Director, PlayStation Network Operations posted as that the upcoming PS3 firmware update was meant to enhance the system's media capabilities. Especially the new photo application. Moreover it also includes- Guest access to PlayStation Store to enable players to check out the storefront for latest games, demos, videos, etc.
- DivX 3.11 support – Videos in this format can now be played on PS3.
Americas Sales for the Week Ending January 10, 2009Another quiet week for software and hardware sales. It does look like there are some notable trends to watch though, with Xbox 360 and Wii likely to reach 200m units of software sold in the Americas at about the same time.
