Upcoming PS3 Firmware (v2.60) Update

Eric Lempel // Director, PlayStation Network Operations posted as that the upcoming PS3 firmware update was meant to enhance the system's media capabilities. Especially the new photo application. Moreover it also includes
- Guest access to PlayStation Store to enable players to check out the storefront for latest games, demos, videos, etc.
- DivX 3.11 support – Videos in this format can now be played on PS3.

Americas Sales for the Week Ending January 10, 2009

Another quiet week for software and hardware sales. It does look like there are some notable trends to watch though, with Xbox 360 and Wii likely to reach 200m units of software sold in the Americas at about the same time.

With a relief that the error three red lights have been decreased and been covered with the 3 year Warranty . Xbox360 fans ,now, have to face with new threat E74 ,which can take 100$ out of their pockets, E 74.
E 74 is a lot of graphical errors on screens during a game and a message after a reboot to contact Xbox staff message. This error is described as “The Xbox360 console experiences a hardware failure,” and is not entitled to 3 year extended warranty.


A Game trailers forum poster by the name of GooseGoose has released some photos of the upcoming Playstation exclusive. Killzone 2 was not the only game to get a mediocre review. Street Fighter IV recieved an even lower score of 6/10. Suprisingly, the new 50 Cent game scored better than both with an 8/10. Maxim reviewing these 2 games don't really say much but it is sure interesting.


Sony has announced the new Killzone 2 bundle for the UK. It will be price at £299.99 and will contain an 80Gb PS3, a Dual Shock controller and of course, a copy of Killzone 2. Release date still TBC.
And for European territories? EuSony has confirmed to VG247 that they also are getting the bundle however no price has been set.
